What It Means to Fall from Grace (Part 2)

Falling from grace isn’t actually falling into sin. When we as believers forget to depend on and trust in God and instead depend on ourselves, this indicates that we’ve fallen back into self-effort to try to justify ourselves before Him. We fall from grace when we don’t believe that Jesus has already done everything necessary for our salvation. When we encounter sickness, lack, sufficiency, or anything else, God’s grace for healing and provision is stronger. We could never earn God’s favor, nor should we try to do so; He wants us to rely on Him, not on ourselves. The law can never change a person for the better or get them to stop sinning; only grace can do that. Receiving the gift of no condemnation that Jesus offers us is the only thing that leads us to genuine and permanent transformation.
