Daily Devotionals
Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27, NKJV).
Jesus is the physical manifestation of peace, and what He gives us can’t be found in the world. This gift of peace He offers us is accompanied by a commandment not to fear.

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
One of the names Jesus is known by is the Prince of Peace. Patterning our lifestyle after His because we believe in Him makes us sons and daughters of God.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Life always carries with it the potential for trouble; this is unavoidable. However, faith that Jesus has already settled the issue in our favor gives us peace.

“Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth” (Jeremiah 33:6).
God makes some amazing promises to us in His Word; the beautiful thing is that when we accept them by faith, they come to pass in our lives. One of those promises involves divine healing as only He can bring it; because of His great love for us, He links health and healing to abundant peace in our lives.

“The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly” (Proverbs 18:4, 6-8).
God doesn’t mince words when He tells us about the power of the tongue. We can use the power of speech He gave us to either speak wisdom or foolishness.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).
This is a commandment, not a suggestion. Jesus has the power to walk on water, raise the dead, heal the sick, and cast out demons; through Him we can do all that, and more.
