Daily Devotionals
Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.
January 1
“Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever” (Psalm 106:1, NLT).
We must never get too busy to pause in our daily routine and count our blessings. When we think about everything God has done for us, it’s impossible not to give thanks for all the good He has done in our lives.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9, NKJV).
We’ve all felt trapped, discouraged, or defeated before. Even in the scariest and loneliest of times, God promises He’ll never leave us. When God is with us, victory is guaranteed.
December 30
“Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men” (Psalm 66:5, NKJV).
We can see the results of God’s handiwork. In the Old Testament, He parted the Red Sea and gave the children of Israel victory after victory in the face of overwhelming odds; today, we see His love for us in the springtime flowers, the song of birds chirping, and beautiful sunrises. This is the same God who mends our broken relationships, heals our loved ones, and speaks to our hearts about eternal life.
December 29
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
The world is a dark and discouraging place, but when we follow God’s prompting in our everyday lives, we become instruments He can use to spread joy, peace, and encouragement.
December 28
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16, NKJV).
Jesus does some of His best work through us. By sharing His love, we let God use us as vessels to spread His light in the world and be a blessing to others. In this way, we can influence others’ lives and give a powerful testimony about Him.
December 27
“We love him, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
Jesus brought grace, mercy, and forgiveness to us through the cross. Now that we’re living under grace instead of the Law of Moses, we can find spiritual rest knowing that His love for us doesn’t depend on anything that we do.
