Daily Devotionals

Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

Most people are unaware of the spiritual laws that God put in operation. One of those laws is the law of receiving, which says that to receive success, or anything else from Him, we must first understand what He has made available to us.

“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment” (Proverbs 4:7, NLT).

People who don’t know God are devoid of wisdom and prone to poor judgment, and their lives reflect that. The only way to real success is to be humble enough to let Him give us both wisdom and good judgment.

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3, NLT).

Our external environment teaches us to adapt the mindset of self-sufficiency and self-effort, yet we see insufficiency all around us; it’s no coincidence that we also see ungodliness at the same time. A relationship with Jesus enables Him to provide all we need with no struggle involved.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

We live in a world that’s become accustomed to lack and insufficiency, but the world doesn’t know God. Our faith that He will provide us with what we need when we need it is one of the things that sets us apart from others.

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31, 32).

Anyone who thinks God hates them obviously doesn’t know Him. God is on our side; He loves us so much that He gave us His only Son.

October 13

“…But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).

It’s impossible to come into contact with God and not be changed as a result of it. We experience supernatural transformation and receive strength by spending time with Him.
