March 2
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance” (Psalm 33:12, NKJV).
Throughout history, nations that have put God’s Word first have not only flourished, but have been strengthened and made victorious. Conversely, those who reject Him and ignore His message open themselves up to multiple evil, destructive influences.
March 1
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10).
If we trust in our own thoughts and feelings instead of God’s Word, we’re prone to make mistakes we’ll regret later. God can see into our hearts and minds, and He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows the motivations behind our actions, whether good or bad.
February 29
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10).
God is holy and sinless, and His nature is such that He won’t look upon sin or evil. He is love, grace, and compassion, but He is also justice and truth. The future is bright for those who love Him and live by His Word, but there will come a time when He’ll no longer tolerate those who refuse to accept Him.
March 6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6, NKJV).
In our spiritual journey through life, there are many paths to choose, but only one that leads to eternal life. Going down the wrong path will lead to a dead end. On our own, it’s impossible to make the right choice, but letting God lead the way keeps us moving in the right direction.
February 28
“Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect—being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will)” (1 John 3:4, AMPC).
It’s good to obey rulers and authorities, but not all man-made laws are wise and just; worldly laws can change frequently, but God’s laws remain constant. When earthly laws contradict God’s Word, we must follow the prompting of His Holy Spirit.
February 27
“A sterling reputation is better than striking it rich; a gracious spirit is better than money in the bank” (Proverbs 22:1, MSG).
Money has no spiritual value; there are things much more important in life than mere wealth—like people. God is pleased when He sees us treating others well using the Scriptures as our guideline.
