Daily Devotionals
Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:1, 2, 8).
Walking often involves following, which can be an unpopular concept in the world. However, there’s no better person to follow than Jesus Christ, who did His share of walking during His earthly ministry. Following in His footsteps fills us with light and makes us stand out in a dark world.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13, 14, NIV).
When choosing how to live their lives, most people choose to follow the world’s philosophies, because those are the paths of least resistance. Jesus warned that most individuals make the wrong choice; He’s the only path that leads to heaven.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6, NKJV).
In our spiritual journey through life, there are many paths to choose, but only one that leads to eternal life. Going down the wrong path will lead to a dead end. On our own, it’s impossible to make the right choice, but letting God lead the way keeps us moving in the right direction.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain” (Psalm 127:1, NKJV).
If we rely on our own efforts to accomplish the plans we set for ourselves, all our efforts will amount to nothing. We’re only successful when our plans have God’s blessing; this holds true in all areas of our life.

“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy’” (1 Peter 1:15, 16, NKJV).
When God calls us, we’re to step away from the crowd. As Christians charged with doing the job He assigns to us, we’re set apart from the rest of the world, even while we’re living in it. Everyone should be able to see God reflected in our actions and conduct.

“God-devotion makes a country strong; God-avoidance leaves people weak” (Proverbs 14:34, MSG).
On a national level, a people who seek God’s guidance and welcome His presence everywhere will be honored, blessed, and strengthened. Conversely, the country that rejects Him opens itself up to attacks, immorality, and ungodliness.
