Daily Devotionals
Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

“The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands
He has recompensed me” (2 Samuel 22:21, NKJV).
Much has changed from the old to the new covenant, including the way God deals with us. Before Jesus, God dealt with the people based on their deeds; now, He deals with us according to Jesus’ deeds and our faith in them.

“And He spoke a parable to them: ‘Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?’” (Luke 6:39, NKJV).
Jesus told this parable to illustrate what happens when we listen to the religious leaders and philosophers of the world, who are blind to God’s truths. Without God’s Word to give us true spiritual vision and illuminate our spiritual walk, we’ll stumble along and eventually fall.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).
We don’t have to be limited by what the world says is impossible. Our faith in God’s ability to
work miracles helps us to see the spiritual realities the world can’t see. In Him, there are no boundaries.

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).
God wants us to experience such deep joy and happiness in Him that there are no words to describe it. When we make a request through prayer in the name of His Son, He promises to grant that request. This is true for the big things in life as well as the little things, because there’s nothing in our lives too little or insignificant for God to care about.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23, 24, NKJV).
As believers, we must remember that whatever line of work God calls us to is our way of serving Him. He provides the talent, the ability, and the motivation to get the job done. To others, work is simply a job, but we can accomplish the task He sets before us with joy.

“The thoughts of the wicked are shamefully vile and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the words of the pure are pleasing words to Him… The mind of the [uncompromisingly] righteous studies how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things” (Proverbs 15:26, 28, AMPC).
God has blessed us with intellect as well as speech, and we can use these gifts to either bless or curse ourselves and others. Studying the Scriptures, we see that there’s a clear connection between what we think and what we say. If we think something long enough, we’ll speak that thought.
