Daily Devotionals

Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

February 20

Then Jesus told him, ‘I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind’” (John 9:39, NLT).

True spiritual vision comes from recognizing our need for Christ, but self-reliance blinds us to truth. For increasing spiritual maturity, we must examine ourselves to see whether we humbly seek His light or cling to our own understanding.

February 19

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4, NLT).

Believers live in a spiritually dark world that doesn’t know Jesus. Spiritual blindness is caused by the enemy’s deception, and it’s a real barrier to faith.

February 18

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means” (1 Corinthians 2:14, NLT).

Spiritual discernment comes not through book learning, but only through the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Without Him, eternal truths remain hidden and misunderstood.

February 17

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12, NLT).

We live in a backward environment that says what’s right is wrong, and vice versa; following Christ often brings opposition, but it affirms our commitment to Him. Persecution isn’t a sign of failure but of faithfulness.

February 16

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

We find our peace in Jesus Christ, even amid inevitable hardships. His victory over everything worldly gives us confidence to face challenges with hope and courage, no matter how bad the situation may look at the moment.

February 15

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever”” (2 Corinthians 4:18, NLT).

Faith shifts our focus from temporary struggles to eternal realities. What’s unseen holds greater value than what’s visible and fleeting.
