Daily Devotionals
Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16, NKJV).
Everything God has ever done, from creating the universe to sending His Son to give us salvation and everlasting life, He did out of love. God is the very essence of love, and Jesus is a perfect reflection of His Father. Never underestimate the power of love—it’s eternal, and not even death can overcome it.

“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies… She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her” (Proverbs 31:10, 27, 28, NKJV).
A godly wife who patterns her life according to the Word is a true blessing to her family. Maintaining a peaceful and well-run home can seem like an invisible task. Nevertheless, God’s values are different than the world’s values, and He sees every household.

“Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]” (Colossians 4:5, 6, AMPC).
As Christians, how we behave and conduct ourselves has a great impact on the way others perceive our faith. While we live in the world, we are set apart from it. When our words and actions are above reproach, we can be the beacon of light and hope that others need.

“For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16, NKJV).
When we meditate on the Scriptures, we can see the mind of Christ reflected in each and every Word. Studying God’s Word and internalizing it transforms us into His image. The change begins in the mind and gradually moves into the heart.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
We can focus on the evil, destructive things of the world or focus on the holy, uplifting things of God. The mind is a powerful tool. Whatever thoughts we harbor in our minds will eventually find their way into our hearts.
December 6
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14, 15, NKJV).
When we pray, we directly communicate with God, who promises to hear us. Prayer includes not just asking, but giving thanks for what He’s already done and praising Him for who He is.
