December 30
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).
This is a commandment, not a suggestion. Jesus has the power to walk on water, raise the dead, heal the sick, and cast out demons; through Him we can do all that, and more.
December 29
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13, NKJV).
Many people have trouble believing this straightforward and direct promise. Jesus is God, who made all of creation, given to us in human form; the same power that raised Jesus from the dead also makes us strong enough to overcome evil and adversity.
December 28
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 136:1, NKJV).
No matter what mistakes we or our loved ones make, or how far we wander away from God, He’s always ready to welcome us back with open, loving arms. His love and mercy toward us are greater than we could ever comprehend
December 27
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).
Real power doesn’t originate from the earthly realm, but from the heavenly realm. The world thinks power is reserved only for the physically strong or for certain chosen members of an elite class, but it’s available to all who simply have faith in Jesus.
December 26
“Truly I say to you, whoever does not accept and receive and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] shall not in any way enter it [at all]” (Luke 18:17, AMPC).
Children accept and trust unconditionally, which is a trait we tend to lose when we become adults. This unconditional acceptance is a key component of the child-like faith God values greatly when it comes to believing His Word.
December 25
“May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love” (Ephesians 3:17, AMPC).
Our faith in Jesus, and in what He did for us on the cross, unites us with Him. Love is the most powerful force in the universe; Jesus, who is love in human form, promises to live inside us when we accept Him.
