Daily Devotionals

Would you like to read the Word daily, but don’t know how to begin? Reading our Daily Devotionals is a good way to develop the habit of studying the scriptures.

My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will be glad, even mine; y es, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak right things (Proverbs 23:15, 16, AMPC).

When parents take the time and make the effort to raise godly children, those children will ultimately be a blessing to the parents. The knowledge of the right thing to speak at the right time comes from the Holy Spirit.

Even to your old age I am He, and even to hair white with age will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry and will save you (Isaiah 46:4, AMPC).

We can trust God in every situation, knowing that He’ll stick by us through everything life throws at us; He walks with us in happy times as well as when life gets ugly. Not only will He never leave us, but when we can’t go another step, He’ll carry us.

Weary not yourself to be rich; cease from your own [human] wisdom. Will you set your eyes upon wealth, when [suddenly] it is gone? For riches certainly make themselves wings, like an eagle that flies toward the heavens (Proverbs 23:4, 5, AMPC).

God certainly wants prosperity and abundance for us, but seeking Him first over money keeps our priorities straight. Money is temporary, but God is forever. Trusting in Him instead of in our own wisdom opens the door to the financial blessings we want.

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (Colossians 2:15, NKJV).

Jesus came to earth to establish the covenant of grace, and to demonstrate to the world the law of love in a way that the Law of Moses never could. Wherever He went, He defeated the powers of darkness using God’s Word; as His children, we have the same power and authority.

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:15).

Accepting God’s Word by faith and applying it to our lives makes us His children, whom He has sanctified and made holy. We’re made into new creatures, completely without sin in His eyes; we stand out like beacons in the dark.

So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ” (Colossians 1:28, NLT).

On our own, we’re imperfect human beings who struggle daily to do the right thing. But when Christ is in us and we’re in Christ, we’re perfected in Him. When religion tells us that we’re sinners, we can point to this Scripture to refute that claim.
