Creflo Dollar Global Missions: Reaching Canada During the Holidays

We are all connected! Whether or not it’s convenient to acknowledge all the time, we need each other. Our resources and economies are intertwined. We are impacted by each other’s failures and successes. No man is an island.
Additionally, love should not be bound by an area code! Creflo Dollar Global Missions is grateful for the opportunity to affect the lives of people all over the world through missionary work. The care remains thoughtful and thorough, as we are determined to make a mark that cannot be erased. To do this effectively, we search for different avenues to help the global community.
Doug Whitehead, Managing Director of Creflo Dollar Ministries-Canada, reported on the 2023 holiday serving opportunities of CDM Canada. These outreach events were able to improve the lives of refugee families and high school students.
The Russo-Ukrainian War began in February 2014, but the conflict escalated in February 2022. According to some reports, more than 10% of Ukrainians have emigrated during this period. CDM Canada received an opportunity to help improve the lives of some of these refugees in 2023. The Carr Street Gospel Ukrainian-Canadian Church at Toronto, Ontario informed Creflo Dollar Global Missions about new Ukrainian refugee families who needed groceries for Thanksgiving.
Our relationship with the Carr Street Gospel Church is ongoing; we have previously assisted them by providing school supplies. Pastor Alex Kovalenko, his wife, Natasha Kovalenko, a
nd the congregation have made it a point to assist Ukrainian refugees getting settled in Canada. Refugees face many challenges, including roadblocks to accessing services like healthcare, the language barrier, and finding suitable employment. Together, Carr Street Gospel Church and CDM Canada endeavored to minister the love and grace of God to this community by ensuring that new families arriving from Ukraine did not suffer food shortages as they began their new lives in Canada.
In order to provide assistance, CDM Canada purchased groceries then bundled them in neatly decorated baskets to hand out to the families. On October 1st, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., volunteers helped distribute the food baskets. In total, we were able to give 25 Thanksgiving food baskets and turkeys to the families struggling with food insecurity.
CDM Canada’s Thanksgiving Feeding Families Outreach was a success, and for some families, it marked their inaugural Thanksgiving 
celebration in Canada. We had the privilege to showcase the profound essence associated with the Thanksgiving tradition; newcomers shared a meal with those who have long called the country home and thanked God for His generous provision. Each family clearly articulated their intense appreciation for Creflo Dollar, Taffi Dollar, and the hardworking CDM Canada team for their thoughtfulness and care. It is no doubt that the families experienced the love of God.
And the care continued! About two months later and two hours away, Creflo Dollar Ministries Canada brought hope to Hope Chapel Church in Collingwood, Ontario. Outreach has many faces, and
we appreciate all opportunities to serve others. Through our relationship with a CDM ambassador in Collingwood, our Canada office was informed about the drop-in program sponsored by Hope Chapel Church. This program encourages high school students to stop by the church during their lunch hour for a provided lunch.
To bring some cheer to the students and contribute to the program, we purchased a foosball table for the students. We also served the students treats as they arrived to the program during their lunch break. On Tuesday, December 12th, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., we served hot chocolate and cookies to approximately 200 high school students with the help of several volunteers. When the students left, we also helped with cleanup and prepared for the next session, activities greatly appreciated by the pastor of the church, Pastor Jane Peck. Many of the high school students heard the message of grace through Creflo Dollar Ministries for the first time. Several of them thanked the team directly. Overall, we believe this mission made a mark on the students that won’t be erased.
“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’” (Mark 16:15, NIV). Creflo Dollar Global Ministries appreciates the fact we are able to “go into all the world” and display God’s love to various people groups. Love is not bound by geography, and it was a pleasure to show love to Canada during the holiday season!
